TikTok agency ad accounts

TikTok is the platform our reporting integration is built against, which makes it the one where the dashboard fills itself in. An account is assigned to your organisation, you run your own campaigns in TikTok Ads Manager, and every campaign, ad group and ad appears in your AF Ads dashboard automatically, as TikTok reports it.

In-feed vertical video is the format that works here. Cropped landscape assets underperform badly, and that is the single most common reason a promising TikTok account stalls. Illustration — figures shown are demonstration data.

What a TikTok agency account gives you

TikTok Ads Manager organises spending into campaigns, ad groups and ads. The campaign sets the objective, the ad group holds the targeting, budget, schedule and optimisation goal, and the ad is the creative itself. An agency account is a normal advertising account inside that structure — the difference is how it was provisioned, not what you can do with it.

Accounts supplied through an agency relationship are provisioned under a business centre rather than opened from scratch by you. That matters most where TikTok's self-serve signup is unavailable in your market, where a business is new enough to have no advertising history, or where an advertiser wants to run in a country other than the one the business is registered in.

You keep full control of the advertising itself. Targeting, budgets, bidding, creative and scheduling are yours, edited in TikTok Ads Manager exactly as they would be in an account you had opened yourself. AF Ads has read access for reporting and nothing more — no campaign is ever paused, scaled or edited on our side.

New to agency accounts in general? What an agency ad account provider does covers the ground that applies to every platform, and our guide to these accounts explains the category itself without selling you anything.

Who a TikTok account suits

TikTok rewards native vertical video and punishes repurposed television advertising. That shapes who does well on it.

Direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands

Products that demonstrate well on video — apparel, beauty, homeware, gadgets — where a short clip shows the thing working and the purchase happens the same session.

App marketers

TikTok's app promotion objective and its audience skew make it one of the strongest install channels available, particularly for entertainment, utility and finance apps.

Advertisers with creative capacity

TikTok consumes creative faster than most channels. If you can produce several new videos a month, you can keep an account healthy; if you have one asset, you will fatigue it within weeks.

Advertisers blocked from self-serve

Where TikTok does not offer direct account signup in your country, or where a new business cannot get an account approved on its own, an agency account is the practical route in.

Why go through AF Ads for it

The account is the commodity part. What surrounds it is the reason to take it from us rather than anyone else.

  • Reporting syncs by itself on this platform

TikTok is our integrated platform. Campaigns, ad groups and ads arrive in your dashboard automatically, so performance and cost sit in one place rather than in Ads Manager plus a spreadsheet.

  • Account country is a choice, not an accident

Where an account is registered affects how quickly it can be provisioned and what is in stock. You tell us the market you are targeting and we tell you honestly what we can put you on.

  • Total cost is visible, not reconstructed

TikTok reports what it charged you. Your dashboard reports that alongside what the advertising actually cost you once our service fee is counted, so the real figure is never something you work out by hand.

  • A person handles the account, not a queue

Applications are read by someone who can tell you whether your vertical, your market and your landing page are a fit before you spend a week finding out from a rejection.

What a package costs, and the service fee charged when you fund an account, are published in full on the pricing page.

What TikTok will expect from you

These are the things that decide whether a TikTok campaign gets approved and keeps running. Have them ready before you apply and the review is quick.

  • Vertical video creative, 9:16, made for sound-on viewing. Cropped landscape assets underperform badly and are the most common reason a promising account stalls.
  • A landing page that matches the ad. TikTok checks that what you promise in the video is what the page sells, and mismatches are a frequent rejection reason.
  • The TikTok Pixel or Events API installed if you want conversion reporting. Without it TikTok can optimise on clicks but not on outcomes, and your dashboard has no conversions to show.
  • Business documentation where TikTok asks for it — this varies by account country and by vertical, and we tell you what is needed for the country you are placed in.
  • A vertical TikTok permits. Financial services, supplements, gambling and several others are restricted or need licensing.

Restricted verticals are not automatically a no. Several are permitted in some markets with the right licence. Ask before you build the creative rather than after.

How a TikTok account is set up

Five stages, and you are told where you stand at each one.

  1. 01

You tell us the market and the offer

The countries you want to target, what you sell, the site you would advertise and roughly what you plan to spend each month. This is what lets us answer quickly rather than after a week of back and forth.

  2. 02

We confirm what is in stock

Which account countries are available changes. We confirm what we can actually place you on before you commit to anything, rather than taking an application and discovering the problem later.

  3. 03

The account is assigned to you

It appears in your dashboard with its status, its country and its history. One account is only ever assigned to one client, and every status change after that is recorded.

  4. 04

You get access and connect your tracking

You work in TikTok Ads Manager as normal. This is the point to install the Pixel or Events API if you have not already, because conversion history starts when tracking does.

  5. 05

    You fund it and launch

Top up your wallet, fund the advertising account, and start your campaigns. The fee that applies to funding is shown to you before you confirm anything.

The stages that apply whichever platform you choose — review, assignment, funding, delays and what happens if an account is suspended — are set out in how it works.

What TikTok reporting shows in your dashboard

TikTok is the platform our integration covers, so this is a description of what runs today rather than a plan.

  • Campaign, ad group and ad performance, synced automatically
  • Spend from TikTok, and total advertising cost including the service fee
  • Impressions, reach, clicks, CTR, CPC and CPM
  • Conversions, conversion rate and cost per conversion where the Pixel or Events API is reporting them
  • Account balance and delivery status, so a stalled account is visible before the day is lost
  • Any period compared against the one before it, and CSV export of whatever you are looking at

Which figures appear depends on what TikTok reports for your account and on whether conversion tracking is installed. Where a metric is not reported we show that it is missing rather than showing a zero.

A campaign's analytics in the AF Ads dashboard, showing spend, total cost including fees, conversions and cost per conversion against the previous period.

What to do next

Two sensible routes, depending on how settled your plan is.

If you know what you want to run

Apply. It is free, takes a few minutes, and nothing is charged until an account has actually been assigned to you.

If you have a question first

Ask about your vertical, your target markets or which account countries are available before you apply. We would rather tell you no early than waste your week.

Questions

TikTok accounts, asked and answered

If yours is not here, ask before you apply rather than after.

Is a TikTok agency account different from one I open myself?

In how you use it, no — it is a standard account in TikTok Ads Manager with the same campaign structure, targeting and bidding. The difference is provisioning: it comes through an agency relationship and a business centre rather than TikTok's self-serve signup, which is what makes it available in markets and situations where self-serve is not.

Can I keep running my existing TikTok campaigns?

Campaigns do not transfer between accounts. You would rebuild them in the new account, which in practice means recreating campaign structure and re-uploading creative. Learning history and conversion history do not carry over either, so expect a fresh optimisation period.

Do I need the TikTok Pixel installed before I apply?

No. You can apply without it. But conversions, conversion rate and cost per conversion only appear in reporting once the Pixel or Events API is sending events, so the sooner it is in place the sooner the numbers mean something.

Which country will my TikTok account be registered in?

It depends on what is in stock when your application is reviewed. The account country affects provisioning time and which markets you can target comfortably, so tell us where you intend to run and we will confirm what is available before you commit.

How much creative do I need to keep a TikTok account running well?

More than most channels. TikTok audiences see through repetition quickly and click-through rate falls while impressions hold steady — the pattern your dashboard will show as creative fatigue. Advertisers who sustain performance are generally refreshing creative every few weeks rather than every few months.

What happens if TikTok suspends the account?

We take it up with the platform and the provider on your behalf, which depending on the reason can mean an appeal, a replacement account, or recovering the remaining balance. None of those outcomes is guaranteed, because the decision belongs to TikTok and to the account provider rather than to us.

We are not an official, exclusive or certified partner of TikTok. We supply advertising accounts through our own business relationships and third-party agency providers, and we operate independently. TikTok and its logo belong to their owner.
